Edible poems, in four acts
Kissmat is a limited four-bonbon collection created in collaboration with Otherworldly Sweets, paired with a small poetry booklet designed to be read alongside each piece.
The name comes from the Urdu word for fate. Not destiny in a grand sense, but the smaller, quieter moments that arrive without asking.
Each bonbon interprets a poem through halwa, spice, and chocolate, drawing from memory, tradition, and displacement. Together, they form a short sequence meant to be eaten slowly and read in order.
The collection includes:
Pardesi Ishq (Foreign Love)
Spiced ube semolina halwa with toasted coconut flakes and coconut gianduja, enclosed in a rich white chocolate shell.
Meethi Shararat (Sweet Mischief)
Spiced banana semolina halwa with speculoos biscuits and Biscoff gianduja, finished in dark chocolate.
Sunehri Riwayat (Golden Tradition)
Carrot halwa scented with cardamom and saffron, dressed in white chocolate.
Dil ki Baat (What’s in the Heart)
Almond halwa spiced with saffron and cardamom, covered in dark chocolate.
Each box comes as a single, considered piece: four bonbons and one poetry booklet, designed to be experienced together.
The bonbons are made with a chocolatier who crafts bonbons for Michelin rated restaurants in New York City, alongside someone who has worked in one, bringing technical precision to flavors rooted in home cooking and cultural memory.
Kissmat is produced in limited quantities.
Contains gluten, dairy, and nuts.
